David Abram is a cultural ecologist, geophilosopher, and performance artist whose writing explores sensory perception, language, ecology, and humanity’s relationship with the more-than-human world. He is best known for The Spell of the Sensuous (1997) and Becoming Animal (2010), influential works of environmental philosophy and nature writing. His essays appear in scholarly journals, magazines, and anthologies, and he is the founder and creative director of the Alliance for Wild Ethics.
