Harry Brandt is the pen name of American novelist and screenwriter Richard Price. Price began publishing with The Wanderers (1974) and is known for gritty, vividly realistic novels about urban America, including Clockers, Freedomland, Samaritan, and Lush Life. He has also written acclaimed film and television work, including The Color of Money, The Wire, The Night Of, and The Deuce; The Whites (2015) was his sole novel published as Harry Brandt.
