Nino Haratischwili is a Georgian-German novelist, playwright, and theatre director, born in Tbilisi in 1983 and based in Berlin. She began publishing fiction with Juja in 2010 after establishing herself in theatre. Her award-winning novels, including The Eighth Life (For Brilka), The Cat and the General, and The Lack of Light, explore family, memory, and Georgian, Soviet, and post-Soviet history.
