Ron Currie Jr. is an American novelist from Waterville, Maine, whose debut, God Is Dead (2007), won the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Fiction Award and the Addison M. Metcalf Award. He went on to publish Everything Matters!, Flimsy Little Plastic Miracles, The One-Eyed Man, and the crime novels The Savage, Noble Death of Babs Dionne and We Will See You Bleed. His fiction blends literary ambition with dark humor, speculative ideas, family drama, and crime; he has also written short fiction and nonfiction, worked as a screenwriter, and teaches in the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast MFA program.
