Petr Zhgulyov is a contemporary Russian speculative-fiction author who began writing while studying information technology. After early attempts at traditional publication, he returned to writing through online publishing platforms and built an audience with his RealRPG series City of Goblins, later published in English as In the System. The success of the series enabled him to leave his IT career and write full time.
