James A. Sullivan is a German-American author born in 1974 in West Point, New York, and raised in Germany. He began his writing career while studying English, German, and linguistics at the University of Cologne, collaborating with Bernhard Hennen on the bestselling fantasy epic Die Elfen (The Elven), published in 2004. He later wrote fantasy novels including Nuramon and Der letzte Steinmagier, as well as science-fiction works such as Chrysaor and Die Stadt der Symbionten.
