Bernhard Hennen (born 1966 in Krefeld, Germany) studied German studies, archaeology, and history at the University of Cologne before working as a journalist for newspapers and radio. He began his fiction career in 1994 with Das Jahr des Greifen, co-written with Wolfgang Hohlbein, followed by historical novels and, from the 2000s onward, major fantasy series including Die Elfen. He has also written short stories, developed computer-game and role-playing-game material, and collaborated on several fantasy series.
