E. Jean Carroll is an American journalist, author, and advice columnist whose writing has appeared in Esquire, Outside, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, New York, and The Atlantic. She wrote Elle’s “Ask E. Jean” advice column for 27 years and is the author of five books, including a biography of Hunter S. Thompson and the memoirs What Do We Need Men For? and Not My Type.
