Tyler Merritt is an author, actor, musician, comedian, and activist based in Nashville. He made his writing debut with the memoir I Take My Coffee Black, which combines autobiography, humor, faith, and social commentary about being Black in America. He later published the children’s picture book A Door Made for Me and the memoir This Changes Everything, a humorous and hopeful reflection on race, cancer, faith, and mortality.
