J.A. Johnstone learned the craft of writing from their uncle, bestselling author William W. Johnstone, assisting with manuscript retyping, historical research, and fact-checking from an early age. They later became William W. Johnstone’s co-author and continued building the Johnstone literary legacy through numerous bestselling Western series, including The First Mountain Man, The Brothers O’Brien, Sidewinders, and The Loner, as well as thrillers and military fiction. J.A. Johnstone lives on a ranch in Tennessee.
