Sarah Crossan is an Irish author best known for innovative young adult fiction, especially novels written in free verse. A former English and drama teacher, she began publishing after completing a master’s degree in creative writing and has promoted creative writing in schools. Her novel One won the 2016 Carnegie Medal, and she served as Ireland’s Children’s Laureate from 2018 to 2020; she also writes adult literary fiction, including Here Is the Beehive.
