Eva Menasse (born 1970 in Vienna) is an Austrian novelist, short-story writer, essayist, and journalist. She began her career at the Austrian news magazine Profil and later worked as a feuilleton editor and correspondent for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Since 2003 she has lived in Berlin as a freelance writer, publishing acclaimed novels including Vienna, Quasikristalle, and Dunkelblum, as well as short-story and essay collections.
