Jacques Vallée is a French-American author who began his writing career as a science-fiction novelist under the pen name Jérôme Sériel, winning the 1961 Jules Verne Prize for Le Sub-Espace. He later became best known for nonfiction on UFOs, paranormal phenomena, folklore, and alleged alien contact, including Dimensions, Confrontations, Revelations, The Invisible College, and Passport to Magonia. His Forbidden Science series presents journals chronicling his development as a writer, scientist, and investigator of the UFO phenomenon.
