Ruth Druart grew up on the Isle of Wight and studied psychology at the University of Leicester before moving to Paris in 1993. After a career teaching at Marymount International School of Paris, she became a full-time writer. Her debut novel, While Paris Slept, and follow-up, The Last Hours in Paris, are historical novels set largely against the backdrop of wartime France; she also runs a weekly writing group in a Parisian café.
