Stacey Halls is an English novelist and journalist from Lancashire who studied journalism at the University of Central Lancashire and has written for publications including The Guardian, Stylist, Psychologies and The Independent. Her debut novel, The Familiars, was the bestselling debut novel of 2019 and won the Betty Trask Award. She writes atmospheric novels inspired by real historical settings and events, including The Foundling (published in the U.S. as The Lost Orphan), Mrs. England and The Household.
