She was one of the original authors signed to Urban Books, a Kensington imprint, and has written novels including Sister Girls, Sister Girls 2, Faking It, Turned Out, and Turned On, as well as co-authoring Around the Way Girls and A Dollar and a Dream. Her broader creative work has also included screenwriting, theater direction, and short-film production.
