Rita Daniels is a writer and educator who co-authored Harriet Tubman: Military Scout and Tenacious Visionary with Jean Marie Wiesen. A great-great-great-grandniece of Harriet Tubman, she contributed family oral history and ancestral knowledge to the biography. Daniels is also the founder and president of the Harriet Tubman Learning Center in Powder Springs, Georgia.
