Paolo Giordano is an Italian novelist, essayist, and physicist born in Turin in 1982. His debut novel, The Solitude of Prime Numbers, won the 2008 Strega Prize and became an international bestseller. He has since published literary novels including The Human Body and Heaven and Earth, as well as science-focused nonfiction such as How Contagion Works.
