David Remnick is an American journalist, writer, and editor who began his reporting career at The Washington Post in 1982, including four years as a Moscow correspondent. He joined The New Yorker as a staff writer in 1992 and has served as its editor since 1998. His books include the Pulitzer Prize-winning Lenin’s Tomb, biographies of Muhammad Ali and Barack Obama, and collections of long-form journalism and profiles.
