Dirk Cussler is an American author and the son of bestselling novelist Clive Cussler. After working for many years in finance, he became a coauthor of the Dirk Pitt adventure novels, collaborating with his father on books including Black Wind, Arctic Drift, Odessa Sea, and The Corsican Shadow. He has also participated in his father’s National Underwater and Marine Agency expeditions and served as president of its advisory board of trustees.
