Nancy Gibbs is an American journalist, author, and presidential historian who spent more than three decades at TIME, where she wrote more cover stories than any writer in the magazine’s history and became its first female editor-in-chief from 2013 to 2017. She is the co-author, with Michael Duffy, of the bestselling presidential histories The Presidents Club and The Preacher and the Presidents.
