After earning a psychology degree, she worked as an interventions facilitator in a prison, delivering rehabilitation programs to men convicted of serious offenses; she previously worked as an NHS nurse. She draws on her experience of psychology and the criminal mind in novels including The Serial Killer’s Wife, The Serial Killer’s Daughter, The Serial Killer’s Sister, Bad Apple, The Perfect Psychopath, and The Serial Killer Gene.
