B. P. Walter is the pen name of Barnaby Walter, a Sunday Times bestselling author of psychological thrillers. Born and raised in Essex, he studied Film and English at the University of Southampton and later worked in bookselling and social media coordination. His debut novels, A Version of the Truth (published in the U.S. as The Couple’s Secret) and Hold Your Breath, appeared in 2019 and 2020; his later thrillers include The Dinner Guest, The Woman on the Pier, The Locked Attic, Notes on a Murder, The Garden Party, The Treehouse, and The Winter Visitor.
