Brian Staveley is an American fantasy author who began writing fiction after teaching literature, religion, history, and philosophy for more than a decade. He holds an MA in creative writing from Boston University and made his fiction debut with The Emperor’s Blades, the award-winning first volume of the Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne trilogy. His later books include Skullsworn and The Empire’s Ruin, and his work has been translated into more than a dozen languages.
