Sandra Joseph Nunez is a Sri Lankan-born American author and lawyer. She began her writing career with a book about the legal rights of minors, followed by Officers' Mess, a memoir recounting her family's experiences during Sri Lanka's 1962 coup attempt and the imprisonment and treason trial of her father and uncle. She holds degrees from Hollins College, Columbia University, and St. John's University and practiced international custody law in New York.
