Steve Sheinkin is an American author who began his writing career creating history textbooks before transitioning to books for young readers in 2008. He is known for fast-paced, cinematic narrative nonfiction about history, science, war, and remarkable individuals, including Bomb, Fallout, Undefeated, Born to Fly, and Impossible Escape. He has also written graphic novels and historical fiction, including The Bletchley Riddle with Ruta Sepetys, and has received a Newbery Honor, a Sibert Medal and Honor, and multiple National Book Award finalist honors.
