Gregory David Roberts is an Australian author best known for Shantaram, his acclaimed debut novel inspired in part by his experiences as a fugitive in Bombay. He followed it with The Mountain Shadow, a sequel, and later published The Spiritual Path, a work of philosophical and spiritual nonfiction. He has also written screenplays and works as an artist and musician.
