Kai Bird is a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, journalist, and biographer whose books examine major political figures, intelligence operations, nuclear history, U.S. foreign policy, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. He co-authored American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and inspired the film Oppenheimer. His other notable works include The Good Spy, The Outlier, and the memoir Crossing Mandelbaum Gate.
