Francis Ford Coppola is an American screenwriter, filmmaker, and author whose writing career includes the Academy Award-winning screenplay for Patton and co-written screenplays for The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. He later published The Godfather Notebook, a reproduction of his annotated working copy of Mario Puzo’s novel, and founded the literary magazine Zoetrope: All-Story.
