James Nally was a journalist for 15 years before moving into television and film as a producer and director. He began writing fiction with Alone with the Dead, the first of his PC Donal Lynch crime thrillers, drawing on his experience reporting on London murder victims. He has also written nonfiction connected with television productions, including Roman Empire by Train with Alice Roberts.
