John Helfers is an author and editor who spent 16 years at Tekno Books, where he co-edited more than 20 short-story anthologies and edited over 40 novels. He has published more than 40 short stories and written fiction for the Dragonlance, Transformers, BattleTech, and Shadowrun universes, along with YA, espionage, military, and nonfiction works. Since leaving Tekno Books in 2011, he has worked as a freelance writer and editor on adult, YA, tie-in, and original projects.
