Kate Riordan is a British novelist, journalist, and author coach. After working at The Guardian and as deputy editor of Time Out London’s lifestyle section, she moved to the Cotswolds to write fiction full time. She is known for contemporary thrillers and atmospheric historical novels, including The Heatwave, The Girl in the Photograph, The Shadow Hour, The Stranger, and the Sanditon novelization; she also writes thrillers under the pseudonym Katherine Fleet.
