Paula Hawkins is a British novelist who worked as a journalist for fifteen years before turning to fiction. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, she moved to London in 1989 and became internationally known for her debut thriller, The Girl on the Train, which sold more than 23 million copies worldwide and was adapted into a film. Her subsequent novels include Into the Water, A Slow Fire Burning, and The Blue Hour.
