Emma McCann is a UK freelance illustrator and author who began her publishing career after being discovered at her 2003 illustration degree show. Her first self-penned picture book, Fish Don't Play Ball, was published in 2004, followed by Munch in 2005, which was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal. She has since illustrated numerous children’s titles, including the Wild Magic series and the award-nominated Anisha: Accidental Detective books.
