Cressida Cowell is a British author and illustrator best known for the bestselling How to Train Your Dragon series, which she began publishing in 2003. She also created The Wizards of Once and Which Way to Anywhere series, along with picture books including the Emily Brown books. Cowell served as Waterstones Children’s Laureate from 2019 to 2022 and is a strong advocate for children’s reading and creativity.
