Michael J. Moore is a veterinary scientist, marine mammalogist, and author based at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. After beginning his career studying marine mammals in Newfoundland and the Caribbean, he joined the Woods Hole research community in the mid-1980s and spent decades investigating human impacts on whales, especially endangered North Atlantic right whales. His writing debut, We Are All Whalers, combines scientific research, field memoir, and a conservation call to action.
