Gareth Roberts is a British television screenwriter, novelist, and journalist best known for his work on Doctor Who. He began writing Doctor Who novels and tie-in fiction in the 1990s, later contributing scripts to Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as writing for Coronation Street, Emmerdale, and other television productions. He also writes political and cultural commentary and is the author of Gay Shame.
