Deborah Feldman is an American-German writer and autobiographer who began her writing career as a blogger. Her 2012 memoir, Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots, became a bestseller and inspired the Netflix miniseries Unorthodox. She later published Exodus: A Memoir and Exodus, Revisited, continuing to write about religious identity, exile, assimilation, Jewish life, and her journey to Berlin.
