Cecil “Cec” Murphey is an American author, collaborator, and ghostwriter who has written or co-written more than 140 books and hundreds of articles. His best-known works include 90 Minutes in Heaven, written with Don Piper, and Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, written with Ben Carson. His first book was published in 1975, and he became a full-time writer in 1984, producing books focused largely on Christian living, spiritual growth, caregiving, recovery, memoir, and inspiration before retiring in 2019.
