Daniel Abraham (born November 14, 1969) is an American science fiction and fantasy author residing in New Mexico. He is best known for his collaborative work under the joint pseudonym James S.A. Corey alongside Ty Franck on the bestselling science fiction series *The Expanse*. In addition to his sci-fi work, Abraham has written critically acclaimed standalone fantasy series, including the *Long Price Quartet*, the *First Empire Trilogy* (beginning with *The Dragon's Path*), the *Kithamar Trilogy* (*Age of Ash*), and the five-book *Dagger and the Coin* series. He also writes urban fantasy under the pseudonym M.L.N. Hanover and has worked extensively as a comic book writer and ghostwriter for George R.R. Martin.
