S.B. Divya is a speculative-fiction author, editor, and former electrical engineer. After studying computational neuroscience and signal processing and working in engineering for more than 20 years, she returned to writing in 2013. Her fiction includes the Nebula- and Hugo-nominated novella Runtime, the novels Machinehood, Meru, and Loka, and the collection Contingency Plans for the Apocalypse and Other Situations; she also served as co-editor of Escape Pod.
