Rob Grant (1955–2026) was a British comedy writer, novelist, television producer, and co-creator of the science-fiction sitcom Red Dwarf with Doug Naylor. He began writing comedy for radio and television, contributing to shows including Spitting Image, before creating and writing Red Dwarf. Grant later wrote the solo novels Colony, Incompetence, and Fat, and collaborated with Andrew Marshall on The Quanderhorn Xperimentations and the Red Dwarf novel Titan.
