Jason Pargin is an American novelist and humorist who first gained attention writing online under the pseudonym David Wong, founding Pointless Waste of Time and later serving as executive editor of Cracked.com. His debut novel, John Dies at the End, became a comic cosmic-horror series, followed by the satirical science-fiction Zoey Ashe series and the standalone dark thriller I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom. Since 2020, his books have been published under his real name, Jason Pargin.
