Getting Started

Creating Your Account

1. Visit the RecentAudiobook homepage
2. Enter your email address in the signup form
3. Check your email for a verification link
4. Click the link to verify your email and complete registration
5. Start selecting authors to follow!

How RecentAudiobook Works

RecentAudiobook automatically tracks new audiobook releases from your favorite Audible authors. Here's the process:

1. Select Authors: Choose which authors you want to follow from our database
2. We Track Releases: Our system monitors Audible for new audiobook releases
3. Get Notified: When a new book is released, we send you an email with all the details
4. Never Miss a Book: Stay up-to-date with all your favorite authors

Do I Need an Audible Account?

No! You don't need to connect your Audible account to use RecentAudiobook. Simply select authors from our database and we'll track their releases for you. However, when you click through to view books, you'll be directed to Audible's website where you can listen with your Audible subscription.

Managing Authors

Following Authors

To start tracking an author's releases:

1. Log in to your RecentAudiobook account
2. Go to the "Browse Authors" or "Add Authors" section
3. Search for authors by name or browse categories
4. Click "Follow" on any author you want to track

Unfollowing Authors

To stop receiving notifications about an author:

1. Go to your "My Authors" page
2. Find the author you want to unfollow
3. Click "Unfollow" or the remove button
4. Confirm your choice

Author Not in Database?

If you can't find an author you're looking for:

• Use the "Request Author" feature in your dashboard
• Contact our support team at [email protected]
• We're constantly adding new authors and will prioritize your requests

Following Limits

There's no limit to how many authors you can follow! Track as many as you'd like.

Email Settings

Notification Frequency

You can customize how often you receive release notifications:

• Weekly: Get updates every Monday with all releases from the past week
• Bi-weekly: Updates every two weeks
• Monthly: Monthly digest of all new releases
• Instant: Get notified as soon as a new book is released (coming soon)

To change your email frequency:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to Settings > Email Preferences
3. Select your preferred frequency
4. Click "Save Changes"

Email Not Arriving?

If you're not receiving our emails:

• Check your spam/junk folder
• Add [email protected] to your contacts
• Verify your email address is correct in your account settings
• Check that you haven't unsubscribed accidentally
• Contact support if the issue persists

Customizing Email Content

You can customize what information appears in your emails:

• Show/hide book cover images
• Include/exclude book descriptions
• Filter by audiobook length or genre (coming soon)

Account Management

Updating Your Email Address

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to Settings > Account
3. Enter your new email address
4. Verify the new email address via the confirmation link

Changing Your Password

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to Settings > Security
3. Enter your current password
4. Enter and confirm your new password
5. Click "Update Password"

Exporting Your Data

You can download a copy of all your data:

1. Go to Settings > Privacy
2. Click "Download My Data"
3. Receive a JSON file with your author list and preferences

Deleting Your Account

To permanently delete your account:

1. Go to Settings > Account
2. Scroll to "Delete Account"
3. Click "Delete My Account"
4. Confirm deletion
5. All your data will be removed within 30 days

Troubleshooting

I'm Not Receiving Emails

Try these solutions:

• Check spam/junk folders and mark our emails as "not spam"
• Whitelist [email protected]
• Verify your email address in account settings
• Check that your email frequency settings are enabled
• Ensure you're following at least one author

Missing Releases

If you know an author released a book but didn't receive notification:

• Our system checks for releases daily, so there may be a delay
• Some releases may not be available in all regions
• Pre-orders may not trigger notifications until official release
• Report missing releases to [email protected]

Can't Find an Author

If you can't locate an author in our database:

• Try different spelling variations or the author's full name
• Check if the author uses a pen name
• Some authors may not have Audible audiobooks yet
• Request the author be added via the "Request Author" feature

Login Issues

If you're having trouble logging in:

• Use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your password
• Clear your browser cookies and cache
• Try a different browser or incognito mode
• Ensure you're using the correct email address
• Contact support if you're locked out

Privacy & Security

What Data Do You Collect?

We collect minimal data to provide our service:

• Your email address
• List of authors you follow
• Email preference settings
• Basic usage analytics (anonymized)

How Do You Use My Data?

Your data is only used to:

• Send you audiobook release notifications
• Improve our service
• Provide customer support

We never sell your data to third parties.

Is My Data Secure?

Yes! We take security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest

• Regular security audits and monitoring
• Secure authentication and password hashing

Billing & Pricing

How Much Does RecentAudiobook Cost?

RecentAudiobook is currently free to use! We may introduce premium features in the future, but the core service of tracking author releases will always remain free.

Will There Be a Premium Version?

We're exploring premium features that might include:

• Instant notifications (vs. weekly digests)
• Advanced filtering options
• Integration with audiobook apps
• Priority support

Any premium features will be optional - the core service stays free.
