Thirteen-year-old Eli and his seventeen-year-old sister Anna are left to navigate their lives alone after their mother enters rehab, with their father absent. Facing the threat of foster care, the sisters take daring steps to take control of their situation, disguising Anna as an aunt and collecting money. Their daring plans, however, quickly lead to complications as they cling to hope and each other in uncertain times.
