Set in Cathar country in 1200 southern France, this historical mystery follows Bertwoin, tasked with preventing a murder in a noble household who's soon entangled in a series of seemingly impossible crimes, including a stolen corpse and a swift, cunning killer. Accused by a powerful knight, Bertwoin teams up with an alchemist to uncover the truth and catch the murderer within a tense three-day window.
