The First Man off the Plane

Set against the backdrop of the 1973 return of American POWs from Vietnam, David O. Strickland's darkly comic novel explores the chaos and absurdity of war. Drawing comparisons to classics like Slaughterhouse-Five and Catch-22, it satirizes the surreal and often contradictory nature of wartime politics, military life, and those involved on all sides of the conflict.
