The Son Tay Raid

This audiobook recounts the daring 1970 Son Tay raid, a covert operation by U.S. forces aimed at rescuing prisoners of war in North Vietnam. Despite initial disappointment when the prisoners were not found, the mission had significant, unintended impacts, including influencing North Vietnamese treatment of captives and boosting prisoner morale. Authored by participant John Gargus, the full account offers fresh insights into the operation's planning, execution, and aftermath, with updated perspectives from recent translations and interviews.
