The Archivist's Story

Set in Moscow in 1939, this story follows Pavel Dubrov, an archivist and former schoolteacher, who is tasked with managing the last writings of renowned author Isaac Babel, imprisoned in the Lubyanka. Faced with a terrifying bureaucratic system, Pavel makes a bold choice to preserve Babel's stories, risking his own safety in a daring act of literary defiance.
