Deadlands

Set in a post-apocalyptic world ten years after Cape Town's destruction, Deadlands follows seventeen-year-old Lele as she navigates a society protected by mysterious Guardians who hold a deadly yearly lottery involving teenagers. When Lele is chosen as a "Chosen One," she escapes into the perilous Deadlands, joining a rebellious gang of teens fighting against the oppressive system. The story explores themes of survival, resistance, and the search for freedom amidst a dangerous new world.
